Alright boys and girls, grab your RangeFinders and pull up a seat, because it’s time to talk about the golf drama that’s somehow not about slow play or someone breathing too hard during a putt.
Wesley Bryan—yes, the trick-shot guy turned legit PGA pro—is now indefinitely suspended from the PGA Tour for doing the unthinkable… participating in a LIV Golf Creator event in Miami called “The Duels.” That’s right. He swung some sticks, shot some content, and now he’s persona non grata with the PGA overlords. Tough scene.
Now before you start chucking your Bushnell at the wall, let’s talk about what’s really cooking here.
So Wesley hits the LIV Creator event, probably thinking it’s all vibes, viral swings, and maybe some tequila-infused wedges. Next thing he knows? BOOM—Tour says, “You’re outta here.” Suspended indefinitely.
But here’s where things go sideways.
Other golf content creators showed up to the same event. Same cameras. Same vibes. Same everything. And guess what? Crickets. Not a slap on the wrist. Not even a strongly worded email.
Breaking:
I spoke with Wesley Bryan this morning and confirmed that he has been suspended for participating in the LIV Duels event in Miami.
I asked Wesley about his time on tour, whether he regrets playing the event, and what's next. https://t.co/QwOd3VJbDQ

Let’s toss Grant Horvat into the convo. Grant also rubbed elbows with the LIV Creator crew. Then fast-forward to him getting a freaking invite to a PGA Tour event. Man goes from YouTube vids to Tour tee boxes like it’s NBD. How Sway!?
This whole thing has fans and golf nerds calling foul. If the PGA Tour wants to ban players for hanging out with LIV people—even just the content creators and not full-on pros—then fine, do your thing. But you better be consistent about it.
You can’t punish Wesley like he just ran over the 18th green in a golf cart while blasting Nickelback, and then throw a red carpet for another guy who did the exact same thing.
Like… if Wesley’s catching a suspension, shouldn’t Grant at least get a 2-stroke penalty and a stern talking-to?
This isn’t about LIV vs. PGA anymore. That beef is like 8 drama cycles ago. This is about the PGA Tour trying to flex on players who want to do anything fun outside of their rigid little bubble.
Golf has finally hit the mainstream with creators and fans getting into it from TikTok to Twitch—and what does the PGA do? They bust out the suspension pad and start tossing red cards like it’s a World Cup final.
Maybe instead of punishing dudes for growing the game and doing stuff people actually watch, the Tour should figure out how to not turn every broadcast into Ambien with grass.
Wesley Bryan got done dirty. Not because he participated in LIV’s Creator Fest, but because others did too—and they didn’t get squat. If the PGA Tour’s gonna be the golf police, at least be fair about it. Right now, it feels like they’re just picking and choosing who gets the punishment based on vibes.
And let’s be honest—if the only thing Wesley did wrong was bring some energy and exposure to the game, then maybe the real issue isn’t him… it’s the Tour still thinking it’s 2005.
