Invicta Watch Group has made a strategic move by acquiring an ownership stake in the UK-based FIA Formula 2 Team Invicta Virtuosi Racing. Under this partnership, the team will undergo a rebranding, adopting the distinct yellow and black branding of Invicta Watch Group and operating under the new name, Invicta Racing, starting from the upcoming 2024 season.
This investment not only ensures the preservation of the team’s winning culture and roster but also aims to expand its presence beyond the track. By reinforcing marketing and communication efforts, Invicta Racing intends to enhance its operations off-track significantly. Additionally, Invicta plans to launch a line of Invicta Racing watches and lifestyle products, encapsulating its deepening involvement in motorsport.
As the official feeder series for the FIA Formula 1 World Championship, Formula 2 witnessed remarkable growth throughout 2023. The series experienced a surge in TV audiences and social media engagement, reaching unprecedented levels. Invicta Virtuosi Racing celebrated three Feature Race victories during the season, displaying dominance in races like Hungary and Abu Dhabi. Their remarkable performance at Spa-Francorchamps, charging from the midfield to claim victory, further solidified their standing in the competition.
