MLB, you’ve done it again. In what can only be described as a complete and utter embarrassment, Alec Bohm couldn’t hold back his laughter during the national anthem. That’s right, folks, we’ve got ourselves a contender for the Top 5 worst anthem performances of all time, and it’s a doozy.

Picture this: the stadium is packed, the flags are waving, and the crowd is ready for some baseball. Then, the national anthem starts, and it’s… well, let’s just say it’s a train wreck. Alec Bohm, bless his heart, tried to keep it together, but the poor guy just couldn’t do it. He started giggling like a school kid in church, and honestly, who could blame him?

The anthem singer was so off-key, so cringe-worthy, it was like listening to a cat being slowly lowered into a tub of cold water. You’d think the MLB would have a screening process for this kind of thing, but nope. They just let anyone with a pulse and a dream up there to butcher the anthem. And now, thanks to their negligence, we’ve got Alec Bohm’s laughing fit immortalized in baseball history.
Shame on you, MLB. You had one job – to ensure the national anthem is performed with dignity and respect. Instead, you gave us a performance so bad it could be used as a torture method. It’s almost as if you didn’t even bother to check if the singer could carry a tune. Spoiler alert: they couldn’t.
So here we are, adding this fiasco to the annals of terrible anthem performances. Right up there with Fergie’s jazz nightmare and Roseanne Barr’s infamous screeching. Alec Bohm’s reaction says it all – this was a complete and utter disaster.
