Tom Aspinall Signs With Matchroom for Business Representation

UFC interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall has signed a deal with Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom to handle his commercial affairs outside of fight promotion.

The agreement does not involve fight promotion or matchmaking. Instead, Matchroom will manage Aspinall’s sponsorships, branding opportunities, contract negotiations, and legal matters related to his business activities. His fight career will remain under the UFC banner.

The move represents a shift in how Aspinall manages his off-the-cage responsibilities. Much of that work had previously been handled by his father, who played a key role in overseeing his early business dealings as his career developed.

By partnering with Matchroom, Aspinall is bringing in one of the most established sports promotion and management operations in combat sports to help expand his commercial profile.

The timing of the deal comes during a period of increased crossover between major promoters in boxing and mixed martial arts. Recently, UFC CEO Dana White signed British boxer Conor Benn—who has previously fought under Hearn’s Matchroom banner—to a deal linked to White’s developing boxing ventures.

Despite that backdrop, Aspinall has made clear that his primary focus remains returning to competition as soon as possible. The British heavyweight has been working his way back to full activity following injury setbacks that slowed momentum during a critical stretch of his career.

Hearn recently spoke about the partnership during an interview with Ariel Helwani, explaining that he saw an opportunity to help Aspinall rebuild the momentum around his brand.

According to Hearn, when they first met following Aspinall’s injury layoff, he felt the fighter had lost some of the energy and confidence that defined his rapid rise in the heavyweight division. Hearn said he encouraged Aspinall to reclaim that mindset and reestablish himself at the top of the sport.

Inside the cage, Aspinall remains one of the most dynamic heavyweights in mixed martial arts. Known for his speed, technical striking, and well-rounded skill set, he has quickly become one of the UFC’s most prominent fighters in the division.

With Matchroom now handling the commercial side of his career, the goal appears straightforward: allow Aspinall to focus on fighting while building a stronger global brand outside the octagon.

For Aspinall, the next step is simple—get back to competing and continue building on his position as one of the UFC’s leading heavyweight contenders.
