Rapper Discovers Druski’s “Coulda Been Records” Was a Parody After Four Years

An aspiring rapper has made an emotional revelation, sharing that he spent four years under the impression he was signed to comedian Druski’s Coulda Been Records, only to learn the entire venture was a satirical concept. The artist, whose identity remains undisclosed, claims this misconception cost him pivotal years in his music career.

For context, Coulda Been Records is a long-running comedic bit by Druski, a well-known entertainer and social media personality. The “label” is a fictional entity featured prominently in Druski’s viral sketches, where he “auditions” artists of questionable talent and pokes fun at the music industry. It’s widely understood as parody—except, apparently, by this individual.

The rapper’s journey with Coulda Been Records began in 2020, when he was “signed” after a mock audition. For four years, he fully embraced the affiliation.

The realization that the label was not real reportedly hit hard. In a tearful statement shared on social media, the rapper expressed regret, stating he had “wasted the prime of [his] career” chasing opportunities within a non-existent framework. His disappointment has resonated across social platforms, where reactions have ranged from sympathy to relentless mockery.
