Last night, Floyd Mayweather was back in the ring, and let’s just say, things got spicy. In a rematch of their June 2023 showdown, Mayweather showed he’s still got the fire. But it wasn’t just his punches causing a stir; the referee became a key player in this drama.

In the second round, with about two minutes on the clock, Floyd unleashed one of his signature right hooks. The punch, aimed at the ear, was classic Mayweather – slick and precise. But guess what? The referee decided to jump in and call it a rabbit punch. Really? Rabbit punching? That’s a bit of a stretch for a punch that’s been a staple of Mayweather’s arsenal for years.

Mayweather, already a little fired up, hears this call and loses his cool. He’s not having it. He tells the ref to get out of his way, like, “Step aside, I’ve got business to handle.” Meanwhile, Gotti III is getting a pep talk in his corner, and Mayweather’s still going off on the ref, practically begging for a new official.

The referee? He was swiftly replaced, which seems to be a win for Mayweather’s side. The drama wasn’t over, but the message was clear – don’t mess with Money Mayweather. When the champ speaks, the ref listens.

So, as the night unfolded, it was more than just a boxing match. It was Mayweather showing he’s still got the fire, even when the officials try to steal the spotlight. And let’s be honest, who doesn’t love a bit of Mayweather drama with their fight night?
